Broccolini
Variety is one of the keys to keeping your life exciting. The same goes for the kitchen! Why not give broccolini a try? Although related, this veggie is different to big brother broccoli. Enjoy this nutritious & delicious side dish which happens to be one of my favorite ways to get my green on.
INGREDIENTS
Serves 4
½ sweet onion, diced
1 to 2 cloves of garlic, minced
¼ cup of gluten free soy sauce
1 to 2 heads of broccolini
1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
Freshly ground black pepper to taste

½ sweet onion, diced

1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil

METHOD
Bring a quart of water to a boil with a steamer over the pot. Trim the broccolini stems then place in steamer for approximately 5 minutes or until dark green. Remove the broccolini from the steamer.
Heat olive oil in a big sauté pan. Add onion and cook for about 5 minutes at medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute, stirring frequently. Add broccolini and cook until broccolini reaches desired tenderness. Stir in soy sauce and turn off heat. Serve immediately.
