Chia Lemonade
Chia seeds hold twelve times their weight in water when soaked giving you juicy nourishment and a boost of energy with every sip of this easy-to-make refreshing drink. Just toss some chia seeds and the juice from a lemon into a jar and in a matter of minutes, you have the most hydrating creation you’ll shake up all summer long.
*Makes 2 servings
INGREDIENTS
2 cups cold water (can use coconut water for extra hydration)
1/4 cup lemon juice – about 1 large lemon
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon maple syrup or sweetener of choice to taste
pinch of salt
lemon slices for garnish

METHOD
Add all ingredients (except the lemon slices) to a pitcher or mason jar. Stir and let sit for 5 to 10 minutes to let the chia seeds expand. Give it a shake. Add lemon slices and enjoy!
